Grading policy:
- homework: 30%
- midterm 1: 35%
- midterm 2: 35%
Exams:
- Midterm 1: Feb 7, 12:40 - 2 PM; Physics 2000.
- Midterm 2: March 21, 8-11 AM; Physics 2000.
Note: the second midterm is not cumulative.
Exams consist of a short answer section and a multiple choice section.
Students must provide a scantron form for both exams

Homework:
There are 9 homework assignments; available thorough Blackboard (http://ilearn.ucr.edu/)
- The due day is indicated in each homework. No late assignments will be accepted
- All assignments are to be submitted through Blackboard (http://ilearn.ucr.edu/)
- The homework grade will be calculated by dropping the lowest assignment
- All assignments are worth the same
IMPORTANT: Students have 1 week after the due date to inform the instructor and/or TA's of any problems with the electronic submission of homework assignments.
